Synopsis The Transportation Research Board’s Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) todevelop guidelines for airports that identify evidence-based best practices in collecting and using airfield pavement condition data. As part of the pavement management process this data is used to determine the PCI and how it impacts operations, maintenance, and capital improvement programs; therefore, the resource document shall have three main components: (1) data collection and interpretation, (2) data application, and (3) data maintenance.

Note: Operations includes the visual inspection, report of pavement conditions, and compliance with certification standards and how it relates to the airport pavement management program. Maintenance relates to the interpretation of pavement condition data for pavement maintenance, budgeting, planning, work execution, and post-maintenance modifications as needed.
