SBIR/STTR Reauthorization

 

We are pleased to announce that the SBIR & STTR programs were recently reauthorized through 2022.  The set aside for SBIR will remain at 3.2% and STTR at 0.45%. Previous reauthorizations of the programs were very lengthy and cumbersome.  The set asides as of FY15 from each agency are noted below.

 

The total budget of the SBIR program is approximately $2.2 billion.  Below is a chart and table of the breakdown of that funding by the 11 participating agencies based on 2015 data.
