Tribal Summits: Zika Response and Planning 

 

The Zika Virus continues to emerge as an imminent public health threat to Tribal communities and families, especially pregnant Tribal women and their growing fetuses, in southern regions of the United States. The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is striving to assist with capacity building, prevention planning, and development of Tribal-specific mitigation strategies to target this serious health issue.

 

We invite you to join one our upcoming Tribal-focused summits in Scottsdale, AZ on February 2 & 3, 2017 and Orlando, FL on February 22 & 23, 2017. Participants can expect opportunities for peer-to-peer sharing, as well as information on action planning, State-Tribal relations for addressing infectious diseases and public health emergencies, the US Zika Pregnancy Registry, and other timely Zika-related topics to be announced soon.
